Allianz Unveils New Digital Trading Platform, dubbed Smart Broker

In an effort to empower brokers and foster more insightful conversations with clients, particularly around the issue of underinsurance, Allianz has introduced the Smart Broker Brief (SBB) tool. This innovative resource leverages more than 40 unique data points from internal and external sources to provide brokers with deeper customer insights.

The SBB tool offers four core benefits: faster preparation with tailored insights, early risk detection, guidance on risk management, and improved broker efficiency. When underinsurance is flagged, digital clients receive the SBB, enabling brokers to proactively address coverage gaps.

In addition to the SBB, Allianz has also upgraded its QuoteSME platform, a digital quote-and-buy service for SME businesses. The enhancements include the integration of the Smart Broker Brief tool and other improvements aimed at streamlining the quoting process. These upgrades aim to simplify the quoting process while providing clearer insights, thereby enhancing broker efficiency and enabling more effective risk management.

The SBB is currently available for quotes and renewals via email for customers with packaged policies. A second release of the SBB will offer the tool at the point of quote for all customers. These improvements are part of a series of digital enhancements Allianz plans to make to its Claims Hub, with the first being the introduction of Live Chat to the Allianz Claims Hub, allowing brokers to have online conversations with motor claims handlers.

Allianz is committed to supporting the professional development of its brokers. As such, they provide free access to LinkedIn Learning for many of its independent brokers, offering online learning courses for professionals to develop essential business, technology, and creative skills.

Moreover, Allianz is making strides in the world of sports as the Official Insurance Partner of England Rugby and starting a new chapter at Allianz Stadium. They will showcase a rugby-themed stand at the 2025 British Insurance Brokers' Association (BIBA) event.

In summary, Allianz's Smart Broker Brief and QuoteSME upgrades benefit brokers by offering data-driven, actionable customer insights for smarter conversations and risk management, reducing underinsurance risks through early detection and client communication tools, improving workflow and efficiency in digital quoting and trading for brokers, and enhancing preparation speed with tailored insights directly integrated into the QuoteSME platform.
