Analytica USA inaugures its debut in the American marketplace for the first time

During the dates of September 10 to 12, the debut of analytica USA unfolded in Columbus, Ohio. The event featured 270 exhibitors hailing from 19 diverse nations. International attendees accounted for 35% of the total participation, amounting to a grand total of 2,222 attendees.

Analytica USA inaugures its debut in the American marketplace for the first time

In September 2018, analytica USA, a significant event in the world of laboratory technology and research, made its first appearance in the United States. The choice of location for this historical event was Columbus, Ohio, a city known for its central location, established research institutions, thriving life science community, and investment-intensive industries.

The three-day event, which took place from the 10th to the 12th of September, attracted a total of 2,222 participants from 38 countries. Among these were 270 exhibitors from 19 countries, with an international share of 35 percent. This diverse representation showcased the global analytica cluster's ability to cover the entire spectrum of the laboratory world in industry and research.

One of the key attractions at analytica USA was the Live Lab, which offered visitors a glimpse into common laboratory processes at a complete laboratory line. Additionally, the Digital Transformation special exhibit showcased digital processes in laboratories and the latest developments in networked working. The accompanying program emphasized digitalization and sustainability in laboratory environments.

The event was met with great satisfaction from industry leaders such as Clark Mulligan, President of the US Laboratory Products Association (LPA), who was involved in the first analytica USA event held in Columbus, Ohio. Bill Dunlevy, Vice-President of Ohio Life Sciences, also expressed excitement about bringing analytica to the USA and was impressed with the event's development.

The Exhibitor Forum featured best practice presentations by representatives of leading companies, while the scientific conference included 18 high-caliber international speakers. Topics ranged from John McLean's research field of phenomics to Ralf Zimmermann's discussion on the effects of fine dust on lung cells.

The first analytica USA event in the USA marked a significant step in Messe München's presence in the US market, following its initial foundation by analytica USA. The goal is to further establish analytica USA and tap into the US market's visitor potential. The next analytica USA is scheduled to take place in the fall of 2027.

Lastly, the Lab Safety Show demonstrated potential dangerous situations in laboratories and methods to prevent them, underscoring the event's commitment to safety and best practices in the field.
