Arènes de Grand Paris Sud Unveils L-Acoustics System for Versatile Events
The newly refurbished Arènes de Grand Paris Sud venue has installed an L‐Acoustics system, offering flexibility and high-quality sound for diverse events. The venue transitions between theatre, concert, sports, and e-sports setups, requiring a versatile audio solution.
The venue's audio system features the L‐Acoustics L2 line source system, providing upper-tier coverage via two L2 modules and lower seating handled by two L2D units. Six X12 units ensure clear audio for performers. The system's modularity and versatility were key in its selection, allowing for consistent sound quality across different event configurations.
Soundvision software was used in the planning stage to simulate coverage and reduce deployment risks. The venue's audio, lighting, video, and intercom systems are linked via Luminex switches with Milan-AVB redundancy. Four KS28 subwoofers operate in a cardioid flown configuration for enhanced low-frequency performance. The networked audio gear is managed through an L‐Acoustics P1 processor and various processing units, ensuring compatibility with visiting mixing consoles.
Early feedback from artists, production teams, and the venue's director praises the system's clarity and adaptability across various event formats. The L‐Acoustics system at Arènes de Grand Paris Sud ensures a consistent, high-quality audio experience, regardless of the event type.
