Arx Robotics Bolsters European Defense Capabilities with €11 Million Capital Raise

Arx Robotics, a Munich-based defense technology company, has announced an expansion strategy following a successful €11 million capital raise. The focus is on scaling existing operations and establishing new manufacturing facilities across Europe to produce autonomous unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) with software-defined capabilities.

The company's mission is to develop intelligent, autonomous ground systems for modern military applications. Arx Robotics' modular UGV platform, named Mithra OS, is an AI-based operating system designed to digitize and network heavy combat vehicles for European land forces.

According to General Partner at Speedinvest, Andreas Schwarzenbrunner, Arx Robotics is strategically positioned to strengthen Europe's defense capability and technological sovereignty. The expansion strategy includes building additional European production sites to ramp up serial production of connected, tactical UGVs with open, integrable systems.

To support this rapid growth and innovation, Arx Robotics plans to expand its interdisciplinary team by recruiting experts in AI, software architecture, system integration, and professionals from Europe's automotive sector. The company is also leveraging partnerships with established industrial companies like Daimler and Renk to accelerate industrial scaling and technological sovereignty.

The funds raised will accelerate scaling and the establishment of new manufacturing sites in Europe. The goal is to produce autonomous, unmanned combat vehicles rapidly and cost-efficiently. Arx Robotics had previously raised a €31 million euro round. HV Capital is also participating again in the Series A financing round, which is being led by early-stage investor Speedinvest.

Marc Wietfeld, Founder and CEO of Arx Robotics, stated that the funds will accelerate scaling and the establishment of new manufacturing sites in Europe. Arx systems are already in use in several European armies, including Ukraine. The company's expansion strategy emphasizes software-centric, integrated, and interoperable defense solutions developed in Europe, contributing to the security-relevant reindustrialization of Europe by increasing local industrial capacities and resources for defense technology production.

Overall, Arx Robotics positions itself as an agile, scalable, and technologically sovereign European defense tech company focusing on software-defined defense and industrial expansion to meet evolving geopolitical and technological demands.
