Audi Unveils A2 e-tron: Stylish, Long-Range EV Coming in 2026

Audi has revealed details about its upcoming electric compact car, the Audi A2 e-tron. Set to roll off production lines in Ingolstadt from 2026, this model will sit below the Q4 e-tron in the range. It will be built on the new MEB+ platform, promising impressive charging speeds and range.

The A2 e-tron will sport a sleek design with a long wheelbase, short front and rear overhangs, and a flat windshield coupled with a coupe-shaped roof curve. Powering this stylish package will be a cell-to-pack battery system using LFP cells, all within a 400-volt framework. This new electric vehicle (EV) is a departure from the initial plan to use the Scalable Systems Platform (SSP), now opting for the modified modular electric box (MEB+).

The MEB+ platform brings significant advantages. It promises charging times of less than 30 minutes for an 80% charge, starting from just 10%. Depending on the battery size chosen, the A2 e-tron could offer a range of between 480 and over 640 kilometers. This makes it a compelling option for eco-conscious drivers seeking both style and practicality.

The Audi A2 e-tron, set to hit the market in 2026, is an exciting addition to Audi's electric lineup. With its sleek design, impressive range, and rapid charging capabilities, it promises to be a strong contender in the compact electric car segment.
