British Columbia's Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) has issued invitations to entrepreneurs seeking provincial immigration. This week's draw, held on April 15, is the third of 2025 targeting entrepreneurs through the Base Stream of the Entrepreneur Immigration category.
The BC Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) Entrepreneur Immigration stream has seen significant changes in 2025, prioritizing high-impact entrepreneurs. This week's draw required a minimum score of 115 points, lower than the previous requirement of around 120 points. Candidates must have a net worth of at least $600,000 and a language proficiency of CLB 4 or higher to be eligible.
Five candidates received Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for provincial nomination in this draw. To qualify, candidates must have the equivalent of a two-year post-secondary diploma or relevant work experience, and demonstrate that their business will create at least one full-time job for Canadian citizens or permanent residents. They must also show an intention to invest at least $200,000 into the business and own at least one-third of it or make an equity investment of $1 million.
The BC PNP also offers a regional entrepreneur stream with a lower net worth requirement, encouraging business establishment in participating communities. This week's draw is part of the province's ongoing efforts to attract and support entrepreneurs who can contribute to its economy and create jobs for its residents.
