New Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen) Offer Enhanced Features and Improved Performance
Bose has announced the release of the second generation of their popular QuietComfort Ultra earbuds, promising a host of upgrades and improvements over the original model. The earbuds are set to become available for preorder on Bose's website starting Aug. 28, with a public release slated for Sept. 10.
The most notable improvements in the new earbuds include wireless charging support, enhanced active noise cancelling (ANC) with AI technology, better sound quality, and AI-powered noise suppression for clearer calls. Bose's CustomTune sound calibration technology, Bluetooth 5.3 multipoint connectivity, and IPX4 water- and sweat-resistance rating remain unchanged.
The earbuds will be available in three colorways: white smoke, black, and deep plum, with the deep plum colorway scheduled for release in October. The ear tips feature guards to prevent wax buildup and make cleaning easier, a welcome addition for users seeking convenience.
