Canadian Solar's e-STORAGE and Aypa Power Unveil Two Major Ontario Battery Projects

Canadian Solar's e-STORAGE has bolstered its partnership with Aypa Power, announcing two significant battery storage projects in Ontario, Canada. The Elora and Hedley projects, set to commence in early 2026, will deploy e-STORAGE's SolBank product under 20-year Long-Term Services Agreements (LTSA).

The projects, expected to reach commercial operation by mid-2027, will provide a combined 420 MW / 2,122 MWh of new storage capacity to Ontario's grid. Colin Parkin, President of e-STORAGE, expressed pride in expanding the partnership with Aypa Power through these projects.

Moe Hajabed, CEO of Aypa Power, praised the projects as critical investments in Ontario's energy system. He highlighted their role in meeting rising demand and maintaining a reliable grid. These projects are among the largest energy storage facilities currently under development in Ontario.

The Elora and Hedley projects, a result of the expanded partnership between e-STORAGE and Aypa Power, will significantly boost Ontario's energy storage capacity. They are set to commence delivery in early 2026 and reach commercial operation by mid-2027, contributing to a more stable and robust energy grid in the province.
