Chevrolet Unveils 2025 Corvette ZR1: 1,064 HP, 233 MPH, Fastest GM Ever

Chevrolet is set to unveil a new powerhouse, the 2025 Corvette ZR1, boasting an astonishing 1,064 hp and a top speed of 233 mph, making it the fastest production car in GM history. Rumours also hint at an even more potent variant, codenamed Zora.

The 2025 ZR1, due next year, is powered by a twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V-8 engine, outpacing rivals like the Lamborghini Revuelto and Ferrari SF90 Stradale. Its unique split rear window pays homage to the 1963 Corvette while enhancing aerodynamics. General Motors President Mark Reuss personally drove the car to achieve its record-breaking speed, averaging two-way runs to account for wind and gradients.

The ZR1 is expected to start in the upper $100,000 range, with fully loaded models potentially exceeding $200,000. An available ZTK Performance Package boosts maximum downforce to 1,200 pounds. Chevrolet developed a new Top Speed mode for racetrack use during testing.

The 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is poised to redefine speed and power, setting a new benchmark for high-performance sports cars. With its impressive specs and heritage-inspired design, the ZR1 is set to thrill enthusiasts worldwide. Meanwhile, whispers of the even more powerful Zora variant have fans eagerly awaiting more news.
