CNG Fuels Opens 16th Bio-CNG Station in Livingston, Powering 600 Trucks Daily
CNG Fuels, the UK's leading provider of CNG refueling infrastructure, has opened its sixteenth Bio-CNG Station in Livingston. This new station, powered by 100 percent renewable biomethane sourced from waste, can refuel over 600 trucks daily and 20 million kilograms of Bio-CNG annually.
The Livingston station joins CNG Fuels' expanding network of publicly accessible Bio-CNG Stations, which can refuel up to 14 trucks simultaneously and over 800 trucks daily. Companies like Asda, Tesco, and Royal Mail already use these stations to power their fleets.
CNG Fuels offers mobile refueling stations for on-site refueling, supporting companies such as GXO, DHL, Amazon, and Aldi in their sustainable fuel transitions. The company aims to roll out a nationwide network of convenient and reliable refueling stations for heavy-duty fleets.
Biomethane fuel can save customers 30 to 40 percent in lifetime fuel costs and reduce carbon emissions by up to 90 percent compared to traditional fuels. Over 2100 trucks refuel through CNG Fuels' infrastructure daily, saving customers a total of 216,000 tons of greenhouse gas emissions annually.
CNG Fuels plans to double its Bio-CNG vehicle refueling capacity by the end of 2028, enabling it to refuel up to 20,000 trucks daily. With its commitment to sustainability and expanding infrastructure, CNG Fuels continues to lead the UK's transition to renewable and sustainable compressed biomethane.
