Collaboration Between Moving Intelligence and Echoes on Vehicle Connectivity

In a significant move to strengthen their presence in Europe, Echoes and Moving Intelligence have joined forces to offer combined telematics solutions. This partnership aims to enhance fleet management, asset visibility, supply chain efficiency, security monitoring, and sustainability for modern transportation and logistics operations.

Moving Intelligence, with its strong footprint in Europe, brings local support, partnerships, OEM data, and a certified device to the table. Echoes, on the other hand, contributes its proprietary solutions and technologies like Boondock Echo and Tango, offering advanced asset tracking and movement capabilities.

The partnership allows Echoes to connect directly to the customer's vehicle without installing additional hardware, as stated by Moving Intelligence's CEO, Patrick Horst. This seamless integration is expected to benefit both companies, with Mathieu Chenebit, president of Echoes, stating that the partnership adds top-quality security products to their portfolio.

The combined solutions focus on fleet management, simplifying operations by leveraging AI and telematics to connect vehicles to the internet and collect complex data sets for actionable insights. The emphasis is on improving operational efficiency, reducing complexity, and supporting fleet electrification efforts to align with sustainability goals.

Asset tracking is another key element of their combined offerings. Echoes' advanced tracking tools support real-time shipment and asset tracking, enhancing supply chain visibility and operational control, thereby reducing risks associated with transit and improving delivery performance.

Security is another area where the partnership is expected to make a significant impact. While specific details about the security enhancements are limited, the use of AI in telematics systems generally includes capabilities such as real-time classification and monitoring that can differentiate objects and detect anomalies, contributing to enhanced security measures.

Sustainability is another focus area for both companies. They aim to support fleets in the transition to vehicle electrification and provide technology to optimize supply chain efficiency. For example, Echoes’ Retail Consolidation solution lowers transit times and risks, reduces handling, and cuts costs and emissions by combining shipments efficiently, thereby promoting sustainability.

By year's end, 500,000 connected active assets are projected. The partnership also anticipates trends in connected mobility and aims to provide a comprehensive suite of telematics solutions for rental and leasing companies, dealerships, large corporates, and SMEs.

The partnership expands Moving Intelligence's geographical reach and the scalability of their offering, as stated by Patrick Horst. Moving Intelligence's products and services are distributed via a network of 600 dealers, with half based in the Netherlands and the other half in the UK, Germany, and Belgium. Customers will be able to use the services of both brands as a result of the partnership.

Both companies aim to grow internationally while continuing to exist independently and operate autonomously. The image provided is of Moving Intelligence's CEO, Patrick Horst. Echoes solutions work with more than 90% of new vehicles and are primarily active in France, with further activities in the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, the Benelux countries, and the Nordics.
