Swiggy Introduces DeskEats: A Curated Food Delivery Service for Working Professionals

Swiggy Limited, a leading online food ordering and delivery platform, has launched a new service called DeskEats. The service, designed to cater to the needs of working professionals, is now available in over 7,000 tech parks, corporate hubs, and business centers across 30 Indian cities.

The cities included in the DeskEats rollout are Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Pune, and Gurugram. Mumbai has emerged as the top city for DeskEats adoption, reflecting the city's bustling work culture.

Deepak Maloo, Vice President - Food Strategy, Customer Experience & New Initiatives at Swiggy, stated that DeskEats is built to match the rhythm of an office day. "We understand the unique demands of working professionals and have curated a selection of food items that cater to their needs," Maloo said.

The DeskEats collection features themed categories such as "Stress Munchies," "Deadline Desserts," "Value Combos," "Healthy Nibbles," and "One-handed Grabbies." The One-handed Grabbies section, which includes food items that can be consumed with one hand, accounted for nearly 30% of all DeskEats orders. Fries and Garlic Breadsticks were the top picks in Mumbai and Gurugram, respectively.

Other curated collections include "Sip-tastic Fuel" and "Teamwork Bites," meant to cater to midday energy boosts and group orders. Chicken Popcorn led the Stress Munchies category in Bengaluru.

The launch of DeskEats builds upon Swiggy's earlier Corporate Rewards program. The program, which has reached 14,000 organizations and enrolled over 150,000 employees in under three months, offers various benefits. Users can enjoy Rs 225 discounts on food delivery, up to Rs 2,000 off on Dineout bookings, and Rs 100 discounts on Swiggy Instamart purchases.

DeskEats can be accessed easily by typing "Office" or "Work" in the Swiggy app. This initiative aims to make ordering food for work a seamless and enjoyable experience for working professionals.

In conclusion, Swiggy's DeskEats is set to revolutionise the food delivery experience for working professionals. With a wide range of curated collections and easy accessibility, DeskEats promises to meet the unique demands of office goers, making lunch breaks more enjoyable and convenient.
