Dacia Spring 2026: Faster Charging, More Power, Same Price

Dacia has announced significant updates to its electric car, the Spring 2025. The 2025 model will feature a new, optional 40 kW on-board charger for faster charging. The battery has been upgraded to a 24.3 kWh LFP type, a first for the Renault group, and is centrally located for improved stiffness. Despite these changes, the base price remains at 16,900 euros, and the range stays up to 225 kilometers (WLTP).

The Dacia Spring 2025's electric motors have been beefed up to deliver 52 kW (70 PS) and 75 kW (100 PS), with new model designations Spring 70 and Spring 100. The smaller motor can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 10.3 seconds, while the larger one does it in 6.9 seconds.

The Spring 2025 also boasts improved handling. The electric power steering has been recalibrated, and the suspension has been tuned and equipped with stabilizers for the first time. Higher trim levels now come with 15-inch wheels as standard.

The Dacia Spring, produced in China by Dongfeng, has seen visual updates in 2024 and will receive a major technical renewal in 2025. Despite the upgrades, the range remains impressive at up to 225 kilometers (WLTP). With its competitive price and improved performance, the Dacia Spring 2025 is set to be an attractive option in the electric vehicle market.
