Dacia Unveils Hipster Concept: Lightweight Electric Vehicle Aiming to Halve CO2 Footprint

Dacia introduces the Hipster Concept, a lightweight electric vehicle aiming to halve its CO2 footprint compared to current market leaders. At under 800 kilograms, it's 20 percent lighter than Dacia's smallest electric SUV, the Spring.

The Hipster Concept is designed with simplicity and robustness in mind. It features a blocky design with no front or rear overhang, sitting on four wheels at the corners. The vehicle is developed based on real user needs, focusing on the essentials.

Inside, the 'YouClip-ready' interior allows customization with Dacia's YouClip accessories. It offers four full seats and an adjustable trunk volume ranging from 70 to 500 liters. The concept is over three meters long, 1.52 meters high, and 1.55 meters wide, providing ample space for daily use.

Romain Gauvin, head of Advanced Design & Exterior Design, sees the Hipster Concept as the most Dacia-like project, having a similar impact to the Logan 20 years ago. The Romanian automaker aims to make the Hipster Concept the 'electric car of tomorrow', offering full electric mobility tailored to daily needs.

The Dacia Hipster Concept is a lightweight, robust electric vehicle designed with simplicity and user needs in mind. With a goal to halve its CO2 footprint compared to current electric models, it's poised to make an impact on the market, much like the Logan did two decades ago.
