Diablo 4's Paladin is possibly arriving soon, alongside the unveiling of Season 10's Chaos-themed details.

In the upcoming Diablo 4, players can expect a shake-up in itemization with many unique items dropping in various armor slots and the introduction of a new armor type, Chaos Armor. However, the most exciting rumour swirling around the gaming community is the potential inclusion of the Paladin class.

Recent leaks and data mining by fansites like DiabloNext have uncovered an internal Diablo 4 build named "2.5.Xpaladin.67961" on Blizzard's servers. This build's name explicitly includes "Paladin," suggesting that Blizzard is testing or preparing this class for a future update.

Although Blizzard has not made any official announcements, former Diablo general manager Rod Fergusson has acknowledged the player interest in Paladin or sword-and-board style gameplay. However, Blizzard has so far focused on new class concepts for the initial release.

The suspected timing for the Paladin's release aligns with patch 2.5, which would correspond with Diablo 4 Season 11, expected after September 2025. Blizzard's official roadmap indicates no major updates before Season 10, so any Paladin rollout is unlikely before late 2025.

If the leak proves to be accurate, the Paladin would be the seventh class in Diablo 4, following the addition of the Spiritborn class after release. The Paladin is a popular request from the player base, who have been asking for its return for the past three years.

Aside from the Paladin, the 2.4.0 Public Test Realm (PTR) for Diablo 4 will be available from August 19 to August 26, allowing players to test Season 11's Chaos theme for a week. To access the PTR, players need to open the Battle.net launcher, navigate to Diablo 4, select the Public Test Realm, install it, play, select a test server, create a character, and skip the Campaign.

In Season 10 of Diablo 4, there will be a major shake-up in Seasonal Powers, now called Perks. Each class will have 16 perks, including 4 class-specific ones. Perks are designed to be genuinely build-defining and change the core playstyle. Some examples include the Sorcerer's Mana Shield, which reduces max life by 99% but makes damage hit mana before health, and the Barbarian's permanent active shouts, which reduce max Fury.

While the leak strongly suggests the Paladin class is coming to Diablo 4, Blizzard has yet to officially announce or confirm this. The player community should await an official Blizzard statement or patch notes for confirmation. Gamescom is expected to have something playable from Diablo 4 next week, so fans can keep their fingers crossed for more information.

For Xbox Game Pass players on PC, accessing the PTR through the Xbox app and following the same steps is possible. The Spear of Lycander could drop as a pair of boots in Diablo 4, and the Unstable Power perk causes basic skills to always crit and overpower but have a 3-second cooldown. The Necromancer perk transforms core skills into ultimates and vice versa, while the Bronn Over Brains perk provides a massive boost to life, healing, and overpower damage but reduces max resistances and armor DR to 60%.

In conclusion, the Paladin class's inclusion in Diablo 4 is an exciting prospect for many players, but Blizzard has yet to confirm it officially. The player community should stay tuned for more updates from Gamescom and Blizzard's official announcements.

Players who prefer playing Diablo 4 on PC platforms, including those with Xbox Game Pass, can access the upcoming Public Test Realm (PTR) through the Xbox app, following the same steps as traditional PC players. This PTR phase will enable players to test Drive 4's Season 11's Chaos theme a week before its official release.

Once the Paladin class is confirmed to be included in Diablo 4, it will join other popular gaming classes on platforms like Windows, such as Xbox, and PC, showcasing the advancements made in technology for gaming experiences.
