Cerritos College is stepping into the digital age with a series of exciting changes. The Los Cerritos Community Newspaper (LCCN) has introduced a new reader, marking the end of the monthly print edition and the beginning of a fully digital distribution model starting September 2025 [1][3].

Key content is now delivered through separate digital newsletters on specific topics such as City News, Library News, and Community Services programs. This shift offers greater convenience and more frequent updates compared to the previous monthly print edition that served the community [1][3]. Readers can subscribe to these newsletters via email, making it easier to receive the latest news and updates digitally.

In addition to the new reader, Cerritos College is hosting two significant events. The virtual community forum, scheduled for March 22, will update residents about changes to the property located at the 166th Street and Studebaker Road corner lot [2]. This marks the first virtual community forum for Cerritos College in 2022.

On January 4, 2022, in honour of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, renowned historian Rajmohan Gandhi, grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, will lead a discussion titled, "Gandhi and King: Was Their Dream a Mirage?" This talk is hosted by the Cerritos College Foundation's Endowed Jain Scholar Program [5].

Navigating the new LCCN reader is straightforward. To read articles, users should hold their mouse button in blank type areas. Zooming in can be done by clicking on the plus sign, and zooming out by using the minus button. To turn the page, users can simply click anywhere on the page. For a full-screen view, users can click on the box on the bottom right [4].

The Temporary Use Permit (TUP) for Cerritos College's property was approved by the Cerritos City Council on September 18, 2017, and has a duration of four years. This permit authorizes specific uses of Cerritos College's property for a limited period [6].

For those who prefer the old version, there is an option to view it. The Adobe Reader version of the newspaper is also available [7]. The Los Cerritos Community News is also offering email subscription services for the latest posts [8].
