Ambiq Micro, a leading innovator in low-power semiconductor solutions, has revealed two new edge AI runtime solutions: HeliosRT and HeliosAOT. These runtimes are specifically designed for Ambiq's Apollo family of System-on-Chips (SoCs), addressing key challenges in deploying AI models in power-constrained edge computing environments.

Features of HeliosRT and HeliosAOT

Both HeliosRT and HeliosAOT are optimized to run efficiently on Ambiq’s Apollo4 Plus and related SoCs, which incorporate Ambiq’s proprietary Sub-threshold Power Optimized Technology (SPOT®) for ultra-low power consumption. They enable diverse edge AI applications, including digital health and smart devices, by supporting a range of AI models suitable for resource-limited hardware.

Developer tools for HeliosRT and HeliosAOT simplify AI model deployment on power-sensitive devices, supporting rapid prototyping through production scaling. The runtimes also integrate with platforms like Edge Impulse, enabling seamless creation, optimization, and deployment of AI and machine learning models on Apollo SoCs.

In power-constrained edge AI deployments, HeliosRT and HeliosAOT offer several benefits.
