Funding Boost for Egyptian Semiconductor Startup InfiniLink, Securing $10 Million in Seed Capital

InfiniLink, an Egyptian semiconductor startup founded in 2023 by industry veterans Amr El-Geziry and Salma Nour, has secured a significant $10 million in a seed funding round. The round, led by Silicon Badia, with additional participation from Global Ventures, Sawari Ventures, and several angel investors, marks a significant milestone for the Egyptian semiconductor ecosystem.

The funding round, announced in April 2025, also saw the involvement of prominent investors such as MediaTek and Sukna Ventures. This investment sets a benchmark, reflecting a rising interest in hardware innovation among investors in emerging markets.

Currently, InfiniLink is positioned as a pioneering player in Egypt’s emerging semiconductor sector. The successful fundraising round illustrates strong investor confidence and a solid foundation to advance its technological development and market presence.

With the fresh capital, InfiniLink plans to scale its R&D efforts, expand into international markets, and establish operations in Europe and the United States. The startup aims to initiate pilot programs with major telecom and cloud service providers by early 2026.

InfiniLink is focused on delivering high-performance, energy-efficient semiconductor solutions. The company is developing a range of ultra-low-latency connectivity chips aimed at improving data transmission speeds and reducing energy consumption across large-scale network infrastructures.

Nameer Khan, General Partner at Silicon Badia, has stated that InfiniLink addresses a critical challenge in modern computing: achieving faster, greener connectivity. The chips are designed to position Egypt as a leader in advanced semiconductor innovation and contribute to establishing the country as a regional hub for semiconductor development.

InfiniLink's mission is to bridge the technology gap and contribute to Egypt's position as a leader in advanced semiconductor innovation. The startup's CEO, Amr El-Geziry, plans to expand the engineering team, launch products, and form strategic partnerships with global tech leaders.

Silicon Badia is proud to support a company with global potential and a new frontier for deep-tech entrepreneurship in the Middle East. This funding round represents one of the largest seed rounds for a deep-tech startup in the MENA region to date, signalling a promising future for InfiniLink and the Egyptian semiconductor industry.

The funding round, led by Silicon Badia and joined by multiple investors such as Global Ventures, Sawari Ventures, MediaTek, Sukna Ventures, and angel investors, not only marked a significant milestone for the Egyptian semiconductor ecosystem but also reflected a rising interest in hardware innovation among investors in emerging markets, specifically within the finance and business sector. Leveraging this significant investment, InfiniLink plans to scale its research and development, expand into international markets, and establish operations in Europe and the United States, with the ultimate goal of forming strategic partnerships with major telecom and cloud service providers in the upcoming year, demonstrating the startup's focus on investing in technology and its commitment to becoming a global player in the semiconductor industry.
