Enhancements in Hubstaff: Changes in Pricing Structure, Introduction of New Plans, and Product Enhancements

Hubstaff Enhances Workforce Management Tools with New Features and Pricing Structure

Hubstaff, a leading workforce management solution, has announced significant updates to its platform, focusing on improved location tracking, robust project management, and expanded enterprise-grade compliance and support. The updates aim to streamline team management and boost productivity for businesses of all sizes.

Starting with the user experience, Hubstaff's new calendar offers a revamped interface for shifts, time off, and holidays. The calendar now includes a monthly view and the ability to subscribe to calendar events, making it easier for teams to stay organised and informed.

The new Team plan is a standout feature, offering top-tier support with 24/5 live chat and 24-hour email reply time. It also includes Hubstaff Tasks, a powerful project management tool that offers built-in project management tools, Kanban and timeline views, checklists, comments, labels, due dates, and more.

Advanced Location Tracking is another key addition. GPS and geofencing allow automatic start/stop of timers when entering or leaving job sites. Managers can define rules such as restricting tracking to certain locations or receiving alerts when workers arrive or leave a site. The live and historical map view filtered by team member or job site aids in monitoring field employees or mobile teams effectively.

In terms of time tracking, Hubstaff now supports manual and automatic tracking across desktop, mobile, web, and browser extensions, with offline mode and idle time detection. Break tracking with alerts and rules for paid and unpaid breaks is included, although overtime tracking supports only weekly limits and lacks more complex policies.

Employee Scheduling and Attendance have also been improved, with built-in scheduling that allows managers to assign shifts, set work hours, and define clock-in times, suitable for mobile and deskless workforces.

Hubstaff's new pricing plans are bundled with features, add-ons, and discounted annual pricing. The plans cater to businesses of all sizes, starting with a free plan for one user with basic time tracking and activity tracking. The Starter, Grow, and Team plans offer increasingly advanced features, while the Enterprise plan is tailored for larger businesses, offering HIPAA and SOC-2 Type II compliance, account provisioning, single sign-on (SSO), and dedicated support and enterprise deployment options.

Customers will be transitioned to their respective plans throughout the year, with each customer receiving a 30-day notice before they are automatically moved to their new plan. Most customers will be transitioning to the new Team plan.

Hubstaff has also made it easier for customers to view the plans and make changes before the automatic transition if they choose to. The platform now allows for the automatic creation and sending of client invoices.

In addition to these changes, Hubstaff has added hundreds of new features to their workforce management tools, including time tracking, employee experience, productivity metrics, and actionable insights. The new Team plan also includes Hubstaff Insights (free for one year), which includes categorization of apps & URLs, employee utilization metrics, focus and meeting time widgets, activity change alerts, smart notifications, and suspicious activity detection.

The mobile app has also been redesigned for tracking time, creating projects and tasks, and viewing reports. Projects, clients, members, and Job sites can be imported at Hubstaff, making it easier for teams to get started.

Overall, the update focuses heavily on enhanced location and time tracking features, more robust project management with automation, and expanded enterprise-grade compliance and support, with pricing structured to scale with these capabilities and business size. Permissions for team leads and managers have been optimised, ensuring a smooth transition for all users.
