Enhancing the Mokka's Caffeine Content: Vauxhall Introduces the Powerful GSE Version

Vauxhall has entered the electric performance SUV market with the launch of its new model, the Mokka GSE. This sportier version of the popular Mokka boasts a more focused, performance-oriented design compared to previous GSE models from Vauxhall.

The Mokka GSE serves as a rival to sporty electric SUVs from sister brands Abarth and Alfa Romeo, such as the Abarth 600e Scorpionissima and Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce. The Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce, like the Mokka GSE, is estimated to return around 200 miles on a full charge.

The Mokka GSE's electric motor sends power to the front wheels through a mechanical limited-slip differential, allowing for improved traction and handling. This high-performance setup results in a 0-62mph acceleration time of 5.9 seconds and a top speed of 124mph, making it Vauxhall's fastest electric model.

The Mokka GSE's suspension is stiffer compared to the standard model, providing better handling and stability. To further enhance its performance, the GSE model comes equipped with larger 380mm brake discs with four-piston calipers and high-performance tyres.

In terms of design, the exterior of the Mokka GSE features an aggressive-looking front bumper with extra black trim, GSE badging, yellow brake calipers, and GSE wording on the front doors. The interior of the Mokka GSE features new sports seats with Alcantara trim and yellow stitching.

The Mokka GSE's 54 kWh battery provides an estimated WLTP range of around 200 miles on a full charge. While this is less than the standard Mokka Electric's official WLTP range of up to 252 miles, it is still impressive for a performance-oriented electric SUV.

Pricing information for the Mokka GSE will be revealed at a later date, with a starting price of just under £40,000 predicted. With its combination of performance, range, and design, the Mokka GSE is set to be a strong contender in the electric performance SUV market.

[1] The estimated WLTP range of the Vauxhall Mokka GSE electric model is around 200 miles on a full charge. This is due to its 54 kWh battery, which is the same as the standard Mokka Electric, but the GSE's higher performance reduces the range compared to the regular electric model.

[2] For context, the standard Vauxhall Mokka Electric with the same 54 kWh battery has an official WLTP range of up to 252 miles, but real-world range typically falls between 170 and 230 miles depending on conditions. The GSE, with its more powerful 280 hp motor and sportier setup, sacrifices some range for performance.

[1] The higher performance of the Vauxhall Mokka GSE harnesses a 280 hp electric motor, which contributes to its impressive 0-62mph acceleration time of 5.9 seconds and a top speed of 124mph, but its 54 kWh battery offers slightly less WLTP range than the regular Mokka Electric, estimated to be around 200 miles on a full charge.

[2] In comparison, the standard Vauxhall Mokka Electric, also featuring a 54 kWh battery, boasts an official WLTP range of up to 252 miles, though real-world range may vary between 170 and 230 miles depending on driving conditions.

[3] The Mokka GSE's rival models in the electric performance SUV market include the Abarth 600e Scorpionissima and Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce, all three sharing an estimated WLTP range of approximately 200 miles on a full charge.

[4] The automotive industry's focus on technology and electric vehicles is evident in the emergence of models like the Mokka GSE, demonstrating potential for impressive performance and range without compromising on stylistic elements such as a sporty design and equipment features including larger brake discs and high-performance tyres.
