Euro NCAP: Honda Civic, Subaru Impreza Top Safety Ratings; Mercedes-Benz X-Class Makes History
Euro NCAP has released its latest safety test results. Several cars have received top ratings, with notable advancements in safety features.
The Honda Civic and Subaru Impreza have impressed with advanced safety features. Both models come equipped with lane-keeping systems and pedestrian detection, along with Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB).
The Honda Civic has particularly shone, improving its rating from 4 to 5 stars following a reassessment. This is a significant achievement, demonstrating enhanced safety standards. Notably, no new car manufacturers have entered the five-star club for the first time, with the MG3 receiving 4 stars.
The Mercedes-Benz X-Class pick-up has made history, becoming the first pick-up since 2012 to achieve a 5 star rating. The Jaguar E-Pace also joins the top tier, receiving a perfect safety score.
All eight cars tested, including the Jaguar E-Pace, have received a 5 star rating. This reflects a strong commitment to safety across the industry, with standard-fit AEB now present in all tested models.
