EVE Energy Expands Battery Storage in CEE with 500 MWh Deal, GPC Secures 17-Year Revenue Guarantees
EVE Energy has made significant strides in the battery storage sector. The Chinese company recently signed a 500 MWh cooperation agreement with Polish firm CommVOLT Sp. z o.o. for projects in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). This comes after EVE showcased its Mr. Flagship Series at Solar & Storage Live UK 2025, including the 'Mr. Big' cell and 'Mr. Giant' energy storage system.
EVE's expansion in CEE is not its only recent achievement. The company deployed its first utility-scale battery storage project using 628Ah ultra-large-format cells and completed its first overseas shipments. This project, along with others, has contributed to GPC's growing storage pipeline. GPC's total ready-to-build storage pipeline now stands at 392 MW/1.6 GWh, with 54 MW/216 MWh added in 2025.
GPC's projects have secured long-term revenue guarantees. The company has secured 17-year revenue guarantees under Poland's capacity market auctions. This ensures a stable financial outlook for GPC's storage business. Additionally, GPC has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Huawei Poland for 500 MWh of battery energy storage systems in CEE. Huawei will supply its advanced grid-forming energy storage platform for these projects in Poland and Hungary.
EVE Energy's partnership with CommVOLT and GPC's collaboration with Huawei mark significant steps in the expansion of battery storage projects in CEE. These agreements, along with EVE's innovative products and GPC's secure revenue guarantees, indicate a promising future for the region's energy storage sector.
