Extron Unveils DTP3 T 202 & SMP 401, Boosting AV over IP Capabilities

Extron has unveiled two new products, enhancing its AV over IP capabilities and expanding its media processing offerings. The DTP3 T 202 EU/MK is a versatile wallplate transmitter, while the SMP 401 is a high-performance media processor.

The DTP3 T 202 EU/MK, launched last year, is a two-input transmitter that sends USB-C video, HDMI, audio, and control signals up to 330 feet (100 meters) over a shielded CAT 6A cable. It supports 4K/60 4:4:4 signals and is HDCP 2.3 compliant. The device offers easy connectivity, auto-switching, and integrator-friendly controls.

Extron has also enhanced its NAV Pro AV over IP Series with the NAV PURE3 codec. This codec is more efficient and resilient than previous versions, ensuring robust, pristine video on converged or isolated networks. The update improves network resiliency and compatibility with existing devices.

In addition, Extron introduced the SMP 401, a 4K/60 recording and streaming media processor. It supports up to five recordings and six streams concurrently, with three HDMI 2.0 inputs, two RTP/RTSP virtual inputs, and an optional 12G-SDI input. The SMP 401 captures, switches, scales, and distributes AV sources and presentations.

Extron's latest offerings, the DTP3 T 202 EU/MK and SMP 401, demonstrate the company's commitment to advancing AV over IP technology. The DTP3 T 202 EU/MK provides robust signal transmission, while the SMP 401 offers versatile media processing capabilities, further expanding Extron's portfolio of professional AV solutions.
