India's Top UAV Defense Startup Raphe mPhibr Secures $100 Million in Series B Funding

Raphe mPhibr, an Indian developer of military-grade UAVs, has secured $100 million in a Series B funding round, making it the most valuable defence-tech startup in India specializing in UAV technology. The funding round was led by General Catalyst, pushing Raphe mPhibr's valuation to approximately $900 million.

The company's core mission is to equip the Indian armed forces with indigenous UAV technology and reduce dependency on foreign suppliers. Raphe mPhibr's UAV lineup includes long-endurance surveillance drones, autonomous tactical UAVs, and AI-powered reconnaissance platforms. Notable features of Raphe mPhibr's technology include autonomous flight systems with adaptive navigation, high-altitude endurance, real-time data transmission, modular payloads, and advanced AI integration for threat detection and analysis.

The funds will be used for Research & Development, scaling production, and strengthening Raphe mPhibr's position in domestic and global defense markets. The company will also deploy the funds for accelerating R&D for next-gen autonomous UAVs, pursuing select international defense contracts, and strengthening supply chains for rapid scale-up.

Raphe mPhibr's vertical integration model, producing nearly all components internally, maximizes strategic and economic returns domestically. The company has secured multiple contracts with the Indian Army and Air Force, and is collaborating with DRDO for advanced autonomous systems.

In the global defense market, Raphe mPhibr is still emerging but positioning itself strongly by leveraging advanced UAV technologies, partnerships with India's Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), and contracts with the Indian Army and Air Force to supply autonomous systems and tactical support drones.

Jacob Stoner, CEO of Flyeye.io, is a highly respected figure within his local drone community. Amit Ganjoo, Founder & CEO of ANRA Technologies, also acknowledges the potential of Raphe mPhibr in the defense UAV market. The company's robust pipeline positions it as one of the most promising defense UAV manufacturers in South Asia, and its strategic investments indicate ambitions to enter select international defense markets in the near future.

India is rapidly expanding its domestic UAV sector, driven by government initiatives like "Make in India" for defense technology. Raphe mPhibr's growth and success in the UAV market reflect the country's commitment to self-reliance in defense technology and its potential to become a major player in the global defense industry.
