Genesis GV60 Magma Passes Global Tests, Set to Revolutionize Premium Performance EVs
Genesis' first high-performance electric vehicle, the GV60 Magma, has successfully completed global testing. This comes just a day after a possible production model was caught on camera during a photoshoot in Spain. The Magma is set to combine thrilling performance with Genesis' signature luxury ride quality, marking the brand's entry into the premium performance EV segment.
The GV60 Magma has undergone rigorous testing in various extreme conditions worldwide. It has been put through its paces in the icy roads of Arjeplog, Sweden, the sunny streets of California, the winding mountains of New Zealand, the warm climate of Spain, and the home turf of Korea. These tests ensure that the Magma is ready to deliver an exceptional driving experience in any environment.
Spotted during a photoshoot in southern Spain, the production model of the GV60 Magma showcased an aggressive design with a pronounced rear wing, large front intakes, titanium-finished wheels, and distinctive Magma-orange brake calipers. While the company behind its software optimization and dynamic upgrades is not explicitly mentioned, Genesis has confirmed that the Magma will feature bespoke tuning and enhancements specific to the sub-brand. Under the hood, the Magma is expected to share hardware with the Hyundai IONIQ 5 N, but with unique software and dynamic upgrades.
The Genesis GV60 Magma is set to be unveiled later this year, bringing a new level of performance to the Genesis lineup. With its successful global testing and aggressive design, the Magma promises to deliver an exciting driving experience while maintaining the luxury and comfort that Genesis is known for. This marks a significant step for Genesis into the premium performance electric vehicle segment.
