Henkel Launches Water-Saving Aircraft Cleaner for Sustainable Aviation

Henkel Adhesive Technologies has launched Bonderite C-AK DW 805 AERO, an innovative, water-saving aircraft cleaner. The product aims to contribute to a more sustainable future in the aviation industry.

Bonderite C-AK DW 805 AERO is a ready-to-use, viscous emulsion that can be applied by spraying or damp mopping onto any aircraft surface. It clings to vertical surfaces and wipes off easily with a clean, damp microfiber cloth seconds after application. The cleaner effectively removes dirt and oils, leaving a clean, high-gloss finish and providing long-term protection against corrosion, UV rays, and oxidation.

The product is non-flammable with a high flash point (>94°C) and delivers reliable performance over a wide range of temperatures and humidity levels. It can be safely stored and transported at temperatures ranging from +5°C to 45°C. Notably, it eliminates the need for water rinsing and wastewater treatment, making it a sustainable choice for aircraft maintenance.

Omar Abu-Shanab, Vice President of Product Development for Surface Treatment at Henkel Adhesive Technologies, has overseen the development of this innovative cleaner. Bonderite C-AK DW 805 AERO is free from phosphates, chromates, halogenated and aromatic solvents, making it safe for use on various surfaces including metals, paints, glass, plexiglass, acrylic, and polycarbonate.
