Hero MotoCorp Sales Surge 8% in September, Exports Nearly Double

Hero MotoCorp, India's leading two-wheeler manufacturer, has reported robust growth in September 2025. The company sold 6,87,220 units, marking an 8% increase from the same period last year. This impressive figure represents a 24% rise from August's sales.

Domestic dispatches in September totalled 6,47,582 units, a significant jump from 6,16,706 units in September 2024. Motorcycle units dispatched saw a 5% increase to 6,26,217, while scooter units surged by 54% to 61,003. Exports nearly doubled, reaching 39,638 units in September 2025.

Hero MotoCorp's electric vehicle subsidiary, Vida, also registered impressive numbers with 12,736 units. The company launched the new electric scooter model 'Xoom 160' in India during this period, but no international expansion was announced. Year-to-date dispatches for FY26 now stand at 30,57,772 units, marginally ahead of the corresponding period of FY25. Hero MotoCorp also recorded 3,23,230 Vahan registrations in September, showing a 19% year-on-year growth.

Hero MotoCorp's strong September sales, driven by both domestic and export growth, have propelled the company to become the first Indian manufacturer to cross 125 million cumulative two-wheeler production. With robust growth in both motorcycle and electric scooter segments, and promising electric vehicle registrations, the company looks set to maintain its leadership position in the Indian two-wheeler market.
