Hesai Inks $40M+ Deal with US Robotaxi Giant for LiDAR Exclusivity

Hesai Technology has signed a substantial agreement worth over $40 million with a prominent US Robotaxi firm. The contract designates Hesai as the sole supplier of LiDAR products until 2026.

Hesai, headed by CEO Yifan Li, anticipates this alliance to accelerate the commercialization of self-driving technology. Li asserts that Hesai's tech will facilitate large-scale deployment of autonomous fleets.

The company's supremacy in the global L4 autonomous driving LiDAR market is apparent, with a 61% market share in 2024. Under the terms, Hesai will furnish both long-range and short-range LiDAR products. Deliveries are projected to conclude by the end of 2026.

Hesai Technology's exclusive supply pact with the US Robotaxi company is poised to fortify its stance in the autonomous driving sphere. The deal, valued at over $40 million, underscores the company's leadership in LiDAR technology.
