Hybrid vehicle EXEED Exlantix makes its debut in Shanghai.

Autos shows blazing futuristic flair, spotlights, and an electrifying crowd vibe: The Shanghai Auto Show leaves spectators in awe, setting the stage for the upcoming years while highlighting the latest trends – electrification, green tech, and smart innovations. Among these, EXEED serenely strides into the spotlight, debuting its new gem, the Exlantix ES sedan and the mid-sized Exlantix ET crossover, both available in hybrid (REEV) and fully electric (BEV) versions.

Come late this year, Kazakhstan's EXEED dealerships, part of the Orbis Auto group, will offer the hybrid Exlantix models, starting a new chapter in the brand's history. To get a taste of the vehicles' capabilities before they hit the market, EXEED hosted the Exclusive Test Drive, Performance Journey, during the display at the international Zhejiang International Circuit. Journalists and attendees from 20 countries, including Kazakhstan, had the unique opportunity to test the power of these vehicles firsthand.

Madina Tokenova, EXEED's distribution director in Kazakhstan, explained the PV's significance: "Exlantix ES and ET are our response to the new demands of time: electrification, eco-friendliness, and intelligent technologies that shape the future of the automotive industry. However, no presentation can replace the emotions felt behind the wheel. We wanted our cars to speak for themselves – on the racetrack, where every movement of the steering wheel explains more than any words could. We also invited EXEED owners from Kazakhstan, including long-time fan and friend of the brand Ali Okapov."

Exlantix ES: A Vision Brought to Life

From the moment the Exlantix ES appears, eyes are drawn to its elegant silhouette, boasting impressive aerodynamics – with a drag coefficient as low as 0.23. Recognized for its "wind in motion" aesthetics, the model has garnered international awards: the Platinum MUSE Design Award in the US, the iF Product Design Award in Germany, and the CMF International Design Award for pioneering advancements in materials and textures.

The static, sleek Exlantix ES on the auto show stand evokes admiration, but the real thrill comes alive on the Zhejiang International Circuit track. Ali Okapov, a long-time fetishist of the brand, shared his experience: "The smoothness of the electric vehicle's ride naturally combines with its vast range thanks to hybrid technology. Acceleration is instantaneous, the car simply jumps forward, yet you don't feel its weight – it's light, almost weightless. The braking is precise, with a very short braking distance, giving a complete sense of control. And on turns, the steering is steady, the car doesn't lean, it goes like it's on rails. It's a very balanced feeling – I think such a balanced and comfortable car will surely appeal to drivers in Kazakhstan."

The flagship hybrid sedan Exlantix ES REEV amazes with its uncompromising dynamics and sensitive finesse. Two electric motors with a combined power of about 470 horsepower ensure rapid acceleration – getting from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 4.6 seconds – and maintain a torque of 8,000 Nm, comparable to a sports coupe. The electric power's instant response to the pedal and full drive keep the car stuck to the track, and passengers feel a soft dynamic overload with each burst of acceleration. However, the acceleration is smoothly executed, without jerks or clumsy gear changes – the electric power develops its might silently and continuously. On turns, the sedan clings to the track like it's on rails: the smart suspension adjusts quickly to road conditions, eliminating leans.

One of the primary advantages of the hybrid version over the electric one is its impressive range. A compact turbocharged 1.5-liter gasoline generator serves as a power source for long distances, enabling the Exlantix ES to travel up to 1,250 kilometers without stopping for a charge – enough to drive from Almaty to Astana and still have enough "fuel" for excursions around the capital. Meanwhile, the purely electric ES BEV can only go "up to" 905 kilometers on a single charge; yet it's the hybrid REEV that offers the feeling of freedom – with plotting routes, you can freely forget about charging stations.

In the Exlantix ES cabin, everything centers around comfort and technology. All passenger seats are equipped with electric drive and heating, with the front ones also featuring ventilation and massage. It's as quiet as a private lounge, with special panels, multi-layered glass, and sound-absorbing materials blocking out external disturbances. The smart climate control maintains a comfortable atmosphere, while the multimedia system with premium Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 audio turns every ride into a pleasure, making you reluctant to leave the car at the end.

Exlantix ET: Premium on Any Road

If the Exlantix ES embodies sporty elegance, the Exlantix ET demonstrates off-road capabilities. This all-terrain SUV impresses at first glance, with its imposing appearance, expressive LED optics, and massive radiator grille indicating high status and rugged capabilities. The hardware aligns with its exterior: the heart of the hybrid Exlantix ET REEV is the same tandem of two electric motors (345 kW combined) and a high-efficiency generator as the sedan. Despite its substantial weight, the ET REEV speeds to 100 km/h in approximately 4.8 seconds. Powerful electric traction and full drive enable the SUV to surge ahead and quickly gain speed during overtaking, pinning passengers in their seats.

The Exlantix ET catches notice not only with its dynamics but also with the sophistication of its suspension. Adaptive pneumatic suspension automatically adjusts the ground clearance and stiffness: on the highway, the body lowers closer to the road for better stability, while off-road, it raises up to 230 mm, transforming the car into a conqueror of potholes and unexplored terrain. The ET handles road humps, dirt roads, and the highway with ease, maintaining composure even at speeds over 130 km/h.

The premium Exlantix ET interior shares many similarities with the Exlantix ES: natural leather upholstery, thoughtful ergonomics, and a rich driver assistance system package. Double glazing, low-noise tires, and active sound insulation ensure tranquility even on rough roads. All seats are equipped with heating, ventilation, and massage functions, making even long journeys a relaxing experience rather than a challenge. The highest level of body toughness is confirmed by a series of engineering tests, and in combination with numerous active and passive safety systems, it ensures an unprecedented level of driver and passenger protection.

A New Era for EXEED

Hybrid Exlantix ES and ET models are set to arrive in Kazakhstan dealerships this year, marking a new chapter in the brand's history. For those who value smart future technologies, unmatched comfort, safety, and eco-friendliness, these next-generation premium EXEED models will be the ideal choice and reliable companions. That's a story for another time.
