Headline: Milence Launches Impressive EV Charge Hub as CiTTi Awards Recognise Innovations in Electric Vehicle Infrastructure

The transportation sector in the UK is gearing up for an exciting event, the fourth annual CiTTi Awards, scheduled for 25 November 2025 at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London. Meanwhile, Milence, a key player in the EV charging industry, has made a significant stride with the launch of the Immingham EV charge hub.

Located on the A180 with direct access to the M180, M18, and M1 motorways, the Immingham EV hub is a strategic move by Milence, underscoring their commitment to providing reliable and accessible charging infrastructure for electric truck operators. The hub, operated by Milence, boasts eight charging bays and high-performance chargers capable of a power output of up to 400kW.

Phase one of the Immingham hub will feature four of these high-performance CCS chargers, marking a significant step in the UK's transition to electric road transport. Milence's ambitious goal is to have at least 1,700 high-performance charging points across Europe and the UK by 2027.

The Immingham EV charge hub is not mentioned in the list of nominees for the CiTTi Awards, but it certainly embodies the spirit of innovation and sustainability that the awards aim to recognise. The UK's EV infrastructure has been growing rapidly, with the number of public chargepoints reaching 75,000 as of February 2025.

Anja van Niersen, the CEO of Milence, has announced the company's dedication to working with all stakeholders to accelerate the shift towards a sustainable future for the transport industry. However, the information about who will replace her after she steps down is not publicly available.
