Indian short-video platform BoxEngage.com gains popularity, providing a domestic substitute for TikTok.

In the midst of the global pandemic, four Indian entrepreneurs - Varun Bajaj, Shivaarti Bajaj, Vikas Jain, and Ankur Saxena - co-founded Boxengage.com, an Indian-alternative to the popular video-sharing app TikTok. Launched in April 2020 during the lockdown, the platform has quickly gained momentum, going viral and attracting many erstwhile TikTok influencers.

Boxengage.com is currently a website-only platform, with a mobile app launch planned for the future. The platform is designed with Indian users in mind and is already winning over the Chinese counterpart in terms of advanced engagement use-cases.

Ankur Saxena leads the business operations at Boxengage.com, while Vikas Jain heads the technology sector. Mr. Varun Bajaj, Co-Founder of Boxengage.com, is an experienced Indian digital entrepreneur.

The platform allows content creators across all categories to connect with their followers in multiple ways, offering features beyond following or commenting. Users can engage via live streaming, posting videos, and private sessions with influencers.

Feedback shows that Boxengage.com is winning over TikTok due to its Indian-centric design. Indian customers and influencers have given the platform a positive response, with Mr. Bajaj expressing his gratitude for their support.

Mr. Bajaj also stated that banning TikTok is a great step due to data-privacy issues and the limited social message of TikTok. Boxengage.com is addressing privacy concerns by being a website-only platform for the time being.

The mobile app launch of Boxengage.com is anticipated in the future, and the platform has already seen a massive surge in active users within 24 hours. With its engaging features and Indian-centric design, Boxengage.com is poised to make a significant impact in the digital landscape.
