Innovation on the Rise: CIMM Unveils Startup Initiative and Exhibition Event
CIMM Launches New Initiatives to Boost Innovation in Media Communication and TV/Video Measurements
The Coalition for Innovative Media Measurement (CIMM) has announced the launch of two exciting new initiatives: the CIMM Program for Startups and the CIMM Innovation Showcase. These initiatives aim to foster innovation, provide exposure for startups, and drive the exchange of fresh thinking and practical solutions in the media communication and TV/video ecosystem.
The CIMM Program for Startups is a new membership program where five companies will be selected each year to join CIMM at no cost. To qualify, companies must be less than three years old and be developing solutions relevant to the media communication and TV/video ecosystem. Each selected startup will gain full access to CIMM programs, events, research, and network opportunities. In addition, they will host two deep dive seminars with detailed product demonstrations and updates on their progress.
The CIMM Innovation Showcases will be held twice a year, featuring a cluster of carefully selected startups presenting a detailed overview of their business and technology, followed by audience Q&A. These events offer startups the opportunity to showcase their innovations to potential industry partners and clients.
CIMM's leadership team will curate the most relevant and innovative companies for members. The five founding members of the CIMM Program for Startups in January 2026 have not been publicly disclosed at this time. However, CIMM has confirmed that they will announce the inaugural Program participants upon program commencement.

CIMM's mission, as stated by Jon Watts, is to foster innovation. Founded as a subsidiary of the Advertising Research Foundation, CIMM is dedicated to driving innovation in media communication and TV/video measurements. In addition to the CIMM Program for Startups and the Innovation Showcase, CIMM will host member-only virtual events spotlighting startups in the TV/video measurement and adtech spaces.
Each company in the CIMM Program for Startups will be paired with a senior industry executive from CIMM's Steering Committee through a "buddy program." This program aims to provide startups with valuable mentorship and guidance as they navigate the industry.
CIMM is excited to deepen its focus on innovation through startups, while helping them grow. By providing startups with access to CIMM's resources and network, CIMM hopes to accelerate the development of innovative solutions in the media communication and TV/video measurements ecosystem.
