iRacing's NASCAR 25 is officially set to launch, though it appears there's a delay for PC gamers, seemingly extending their wait longer.

iRacing, the popular racing simulator, is set to bring a new level of realism to the world of NASCAR gaming with the release of NASCAR 25. Scheduled for release on October 14, 2025, the game promises to offer an immersive, simulation-grounded NASCAR racing experience for players on PC, Xbox, and PS5.

The game will feature all four major NASCAR series: the Cup Series, Xfinity Series, Craftsman Truck Series, and for the first time in a standalone console title, the ARCA Menards Series. Players can expect a deep Career Mode where they can customise their driver and vehicles, manage contracts, staff, facilities, and finances, with strategic decisions both on and off the track influencing their progression from ARCA to Cup Series champion.

Other gameplay modes will include quick races, full seasons, and online multiplayer across all four series. iRacing's highly realistic motorsport simulation pedigree, combined with a development team including veterans from past popular NASCAR games, suggests a blend of simulation authenticity with console accessibility.

Early impressions from playtests indicate that NASCAR 25 will offer realistic engine sounds and an authentic spotter experience, aimed at enhancing immersion. The spotter's commentary sounds more natural and less robotic compared to prior NASCAR games. The visual and UI elements glimpsed so far appear polished, but detailed gameplay footage remains scarce as of mid-2025.

While the release date for PC via Steam is yet to be confirmed, it is scheduled to be "soon after" the console release. Full support will be given to wheel and pedal setups, but controller will be the preferred method, especially on console. The circuits, cars, and assets for NASCAR 25 are being taken from iRacing's PC sim, and have been laser scanned for accuracy.

The game's release date falls just before the end of the season, which is on November 2. Fans have been eagerly awaiting a truly special NASCAR game since the release of NASCAR 21: Ignition, made by a different developer. The trailer for NASCAR 25, a brief 12 seconds long, shows a glimpse of the Hendrick Motorsports Number 24 car of William Byron and the iconic Bristol Motor Speedway.

A gameplay trailer is expected to be released sometime from late August, although the exact release platform is yet to be announced. With iRacing at the helm, NASCAR 25 is in capable hands and is shaping up to be an unbeatable NASCAR gaming experience. So, buckle up and get ready for the ride of your life when NASCAR 25 hits shelves on October 14, 2025.
