Jaguar's i-Pace Electric SUV Set to Launch in March 2018
Jaguar is set to launch its first electric SUV, the i-Pace, in March 2018. The vehicle, revealed as a concept to rival Tesla models, has already garnered significant interest and praise.
The i-Pace, unveiled at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, promises impressive performance. It can travel around 200 miles on a single charge in real-world conditions, with extra capacity to spare. Jaguar has ensured its reliability through rigorous testing. Over 1.5 million miles and 11,000 hours of component rig testing were conducted on 200 production prototypes.
To further showcase the i-Pace's capabilities, Jaguar has created a one-make race series for the model to support Formula E. The i-Pace has also proven its efficiency in cold weather, capable of fast charging to 80% in just 45 minutes. Final production prototypes are currently being tested in California.
The i-Pace, set to go on sale in March 2018, has already made a significant impact. It won the award for the year's most significant concept and received more pre-orders than Jaguar could initially handle. With its impressive range, fast charging capabilities, and rigorous testing, the i-Pace is poised to make a strong entry into the electric vehicle market.
