Krasnodar Krai Residents Face Temporary Mobile Internet Restrictions
Residents of Krasnodar Krai woke up to messages from mobile service providers like T-Mobile on Sunday morning, warning of potential temporary mobile internet restrictions for security reasons. One of the 'big four' operators, MTS, issued the alert.
The operator advised users to rely on Wi-Fi for network access during the outage. Residents were assured that regular calls and SMS services would remain unaffected. To ensure connectivity, the Russian Ministry of Digital Development compiled a list of 'white' sites, including popular Russian services, which will remain accessible even if mobile internet is turned off.
The reason behind the mobile internet outage was later announced by the regional operational headquarters. This measure is a rare occurrence, demonstrating the importance of maintaining security in the region.
MTS users in Krasnodar Krai should expect temporary mobile internet restrictions for security purposes. While regular calls and SMS will continue to function, it is recommended to use Wi-Fi for internet access during this time. A list of accessible sites has been compiled to ensure connectivity.
