Latest Developments from the Google Pixel Launch Event 🔴 Live

On August 20, 2025, Google will host its much-anticipated "Made by Google" event in Brooklyn, NY - the same location as Samsung's big foldables Unpacked event last month. The event promises to be a showcase of new products, with a particular focus on Google's AI chatbot, Gemini.

At the heart of the event is the unveiling of the new Pixel devices, including the Pixel 10, 10 Pro, and 10 Pro XL. In an unexpected move, Google has officially leaked the entire Pixel 10 smartphone lineup, including the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, showcasing a variety of color options such as Moonstone gray and a new blue hue reminiscent of the original Pixel 1.

But the standout feature for Gemini at the event is its promise to enable true agentic multitasking. This means users will be able to delegate complex, multi-step tasks to the AI without manual app switching, reflecting the next step in Google's consumer AI development. Gemini aims to support users commanding it to perform multiple, interrelated tasks proactively, streamlining workflows and interactions.

The anticipation at the event includes whether Gemini will showcase advanced generative AI features such as improved content summarization or enhanced photo editing. Details remain somewhat unclear at the time of the event announcement, but Gemini 2.0 and its predecessors (Gemini 1.5, Gemini 2.0 Flash, and Gemini 2.0 Pro) include enhancements such as multimodal capabilities (handling audio, video, and images), improved speed, real-time interaction APIs, and tool integration including Google Search, laying a foundation for these advanced agentic features and multitasking abilities.

In addition to the Pixel devices and Gemini, the event is expected to reveal new A-Series wireless earbuds, Pixel Buds 2A. The Pixel Watch 4 is also anticipated to be presented in two sizes.
