Leaked: New iPad Pro M5 Boasts Faster Performance, More RAM

A Russian YouTube channel has leaked the new iPad Pro, codenamed M5, ahead of Apple's official announcement expected later this month. The device was revealed in an unboxing video by the channel Wyslacom, showcasing several improvements over its predecessor, the M4 iPad Pro.

The M5 iPad Pro comes with a larger L2 cache, now 6MB, up from 4MB in the M4 model. The device's performance has seen a significant boost, with the M5 GPU outperforming the M4 by about 8% in AnTuTu tests. Metal graphics performance has also improved by a substantial 38%.

The new iPad Pro runs iPadOS 26.0 and features a slimmer box design without the 'iPad Pro' branding on the back. Under the hood, the M5 chip boasts a 9-core CPU, matching the M4, but offers a 10% faster single-core performance and a 15% increase in multi-core performance. Notably, the M5 iPad Pro comes with 12GB RAM in the 256GB variant, an upgrade from the 8GB RAM in the M4's 256GB and 512GB models.

The M5 iPad Pro maintains a nearly identical design to its predecessor, with a super-flat housing and a single camera on the back. With improved performance and increased RAM, the new iPad Pro is set to offer a more powerful user experience. Apple is expected to officially announce the device later this month.
