Introducing the Sonus Faber Il Cremonese Ex3me – Automobili Lamborghini Edition

Sonus Faber, the renowned Italian speaker brand, has launched a new product that promises to redefine the boundaries of high-end audio. The Il Cremonese Ex3me – Automobili Lamborghini Edition is a limited-edition pair of floorstanders, designed in collaboration with the iconic automobile manufacturer.

Priced at £100,000 / $130,000, these speakers are an ultra-exclusive product, with only 50 pairs set to be produced worldwide. Each pair will be individually numbered and hand-assembled in Italy, ensuring a high-fidelity live performance listening experience.

The speakers feature an angular, five-sided cabinet, finished in Corsa-Tex® material and carbon fibre, with the Automobili Lamborghini shield logo prominently displayed. The design is inspired by Lamborghini's aesthetics, with sculpted contours that echo the brand's aerodynamics.

The Il Cremonese Ex3me – Automobili Lamborghini Edition boasts a 3.5-way full para-aperiodic vented system. This advanced acoustic technology is coupled with cutting-edge driver technology, including a 30 mm Diamond-Like-Carbon (DLC) beryllium dome tweeter for exceptional clarity and microdynamics, a resonant frequency above 35 kHz. The midrange driver is a 180 mm natural fibre cone, made from cellulose, Kapok, and Kenaf, with a neodymium magnet system, providing warm and realistic midrange tones.

The speakers also feature two 180 mm woofers using Sonus faber’s sandwich cone construction for deep, precise bass with midrange coherence. For extended very low-frequency output, there are two 220 mm long-throw drivers reinforced with nanocarbon fiber and Nomex honeycomb, side-mounted.

The re-engineered Paracross Topology™ crossover network utilizes premium Mundorf components to deliver clarity, phase accuracy, and low distortion. The frequency response of the speakers ranges from 25 Hz to 35,000 Hz, with a sensitivity of 92 dB SPL (2.83 V/1 m) and a nominal impedance of 4 Ω. The recommended amplifier power is 100 W to 800 W undistorted signal.

The Il Cremonese Ex3me – Automobili Lamborghini Edition speakers are available in five "iconic" Lamborghini finishes: Giallo Countach, Arancio Egon, Blu Marinus Matte, Verde Mercurius, and Nero Nemesis Matte.

This limited-edition model combines natural materials, advanced acoustic technology, and Lamborghini-inspired design cues such as sharp angled lines and an open-top cabinet showcasing the complex internal crossover, paralleling Lamborghini’s clear supercar hoods.

In a recent development, Sonus Faber is also working on an in-car sound system for the upcoming Lamborghini Revuelto. This collaboration further solidifies the partnership between the two brands, bringing Lamborghini's automotive design influence and state-of-the-art sound technologies to the forefront.
