Galaxy Z Fold 7
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 boasts a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, customized for better on-device AI performance. It comes with 12GB of RAM (16GB for the 1TB storage version), and offers storage options ranging from 256GB to 1TB.
The device's main display is an impressive 8.0-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X with a resolution of 1QXGA+ (2184 x 1968), featuring a 120 Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals. The cover display, measuring 6.5-inch, offers the same resolution and refresh rate for seamless multitasking even when folded.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is equipped with a triple rear camera setup: a 200MP wide-angle lens with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 10MP telephoto lens with OIS. The front camera is a 10MP selfie shooter.
The device is just 4.2 mm thick when unfolded and 8.9 mm when folded, making it the thinnest and lightest Galaxy Z Fold series device to date. It weighs 215 grams and features an advanced Armor Aluminum frame, Gorilla Glass Ceramic back, and IP48 water protection rating.
Galaxy Z Flip 7
The Galaxy Z Flip 7, powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor as the Fold 7, optimized for foldables, comes with a 4,300mAh battery, delivering "up to 31 hours of video on a single charge."
The device sports a larger 6.9-inch 21:9 ratio AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The exterior (cover) display is 4.1 inches, bright at 2600 nits, and features slim bezels (1.25 mm).
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 features a 200MP main camera, and a 10MP front camera with a 100-degree wide-angle lens.
The device measures 13.7 mm when folded and 6.5 mm when unfolded, and weighs 188 grams. It boasts an enhanced armored aluminum frame and glass ceramic back panel, premium materials similar to the Fold 7.
Preorders and Availability
Preorders for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 begin today, and it is set to hit stores on July 25, starting at $1,099. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, with reduced storage configurations (8/128GB and 8/256GB), is available for pre-orders starting at $899 in black and white.
Samsung has also introduced two new watches to its series lineup: the Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic. The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is available for around $500.
Both the internal and external displays of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 is available in three colorways: Blue Shadow, Jet Black, and Coral Red.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE comes with a 4,000mAh battery, a reduction from the standard Z Flip 7's 4,300mAh battery. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is powered by Samsung's Exynos 2500 SoC. The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic gets a new "Quick Button" for added convenience.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 Classic features an all-new larger cover screen (4.1-inch Super AMOLED FlexWindow). The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is available at 46mm (1.34-inch display) and features a "slimmer, brighter Classic screen."
The Galaxy Z Fold 7, unveiled by Samsung, showcases its latest smartphone technology equipped with a triple rear camera setup and a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, making it a prime example of advancements in foldable technology. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7, a sibling device to the Fold 7, features a 200MP main camera, 120 Hz refresh rate, and boasts the same powerful processor for seamless user experience, demonstrating how smartphones and gadgets are incorporating technology to elevate performance and design.
