Maruti Suzuki's Victoris model receives a 5-star rating from Bharat's New Car Assessment Programme's crash test evaluation.

The automotive industry is abuzz with anticipation for the new Maruti Suzuki Victoris, a model that promises to shake up the market with its impressive safety features and sleek design.

While the Victoris is not yet available for purchase, it has already made a strong impact in safety tests. The vehicle received an excellent rating in both frontal and side impact tests, demonstrating its robust structure and commitment to occupant safety.

In the frontal offset deformable barrier test, the Victoris scored an impressive 15.66 out of 16, indicating a high level of protection for adult occupants. The side pole impact test was rated 'OK,' and the side movable deformable barrier test registered a perfect score of 16 out of 16.

The Victoris also excelled in child occupant protection tests, scoring 43 out of 49 points. Both 18-month-old and 3-year-old child dummies received excellent protection during tests, and the vehicle is compatible with ISOFIX and i-Size systems such as the Dualfix 5Z with Vario Base. The child restraint system (CRS) installation category of the Victoris scored a maximum 12 out of 12.

In addition to its standard safety features, which include frontal airbags, seatbelt pretensioners, load limiters, and side head curtain airbags, the Victoris offers a full suite of safety assist technologies across all variants. Advanced Driver Aids are available as additional features, such as Electronic Stability Control (ESC), pedestrian protection systems, and seat belt reminders for all rows.

The Victoris is powered by a 1462 cc engine and is priced at ₹ 8.69 Lakhs. Other popular models from Maruti Suzuki, such as the Brezza, Dzire, and Wagon R EV, are currently available. The Tata Punch EV and the upcoming VinFast VF3 are also worth considering in the SUV segment.
