Mobile Speed Surveillance Sites Identified
The city of Bergisch Gladbach has announced that mobile speed checks will be carried out from September 17 to 27, 2025. The municipal authorities have published the planned measurement points on their internet pages.
According to the new regulation by the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government of North Rhine-Westphalia, effective from July 15, 2013, particular importance is attached to the announcement and publication of measurement sites for speed monitoring. This regulation emphasizes the importance of transparency, publication, and more controls for bringing about positive behavioral changes.
On September 17, the measurement sites will be Nußbaumer Straße, Paffrather Straße, and Asselborner Weg. The following day, on September 18, the sites will be An der Engelfuhr, Odenthaler Straße, and Brüdersstraße.
The speed monitoring measures for reasons of traffic safety will be given priority according to the available resources. On September 22, the measurement sites will be Halbenmorgen, Voiswinkeler Straße, and Katterbachstraße. The next day, on September 23, the sites will be Saaler Straße, Am Rübezahlwald, and Nußbaumer Straße.

Administrative regulation No. 48.26 states that speed monitoring measures should be announced and published in advance using appropriate media. The announcement and publication of measurement sites apply to locations published on a daily basis, not to the exact measurement times.
The police authority carries out its own controls, and information on this can be found on the police's internet pages. The city of Bergisch Gladbach publishes the planned measurement points of the speed monitoring carried out by the municipality on a weekly basis on its municipal internet pages.
