Mullen Automotive Kicks Off Production of Class 3 EV Truck in Mississippi

Mullen Automotive's new Mississippi plant is now producing Class 3 electric trucks. The first customers, including Ryder System, Inc., are set to receive their vehicles in August and September.

Mullen Automotive Kicks Off Production of Class 3 EV Truck in Mississippi

Mullen Automotive has launched production of its Class 3 electric vehicle (EV) truck, the Mullen THREE, at its Tunica, Mississippi plant. The facility spans over 120,000 square feet and sits on 100 acres, dedicated to producing commercial EVs.

David Michery, CEO and chairman of Mullen Automotive, celebrated the start of Classroom vehicle production at the Tunica facility. The company has begun manufacturing the Mullen THREE, which boasts an 11,000 Gross Vehicle Weight Rating, a 38-foot turning diameter, and an estimated EPA range of 130 miles.

Production will gradually increase over the next four months, with an annual capacity of 3,000 Classroom vehicles planned. Ryder System, Inc. has placed orders for the first 1,250 units, with additional orders coming from Randy Marion Automotive Group and MGT Lease Company, totaling $79 million. The Mullen THREE has a starting MSRP of $68,500, making it eligible for a $7,500 federal tax incentive.

First customer deliveries of the Mullen THREE, Classroom EV truck are expected to commence in August and September. The Tunica facility's production ramp-up is set to continue through December, solidifying Mullen Automotive's commitment to the commercial EV market.
