New finding: Motorola's eReader device detected in China's market

The tech giant Motorola has announced its entry into the e-reader market with the launch of the Motorola E-EMI. This new device, a joint collaboration between Motorola and Putian Eastern Communications Company, promises to bring a unique reading experience to users.

The Motorola E-EMI boasts a 6-inch e-ink display with 16 levels of gray, offering a crisp and clear reading experience. With a thickness of 9.5 mm and weighing just 260g, the E-EMI is designed for comfort during long reading sessions.

One of the standout features of the Motorola E-EMI is its impressive battery life. On a single full charge, the device can last an impressive 15 days, making it ideal for extended periods of reading without the need for frequent recharging.

The E-EMI also comes equipped with a micro USB port and an audio output jack, allowing users to connect headphones for private listening or to use the device as an audio player. Additionally, it supports audio music and recording, expanding its multimedia capabilities.

However, the Motorola E-EMI may face competition from less expensive e-reader devices such as the new Kindle or the Nook Color. With a price tag of USD 390, the E-EMI is relatively expensive compared to its competitors.

Interestingly, the E-EMI does not come with access to the Android market, which may be a barrier to its global market penetration. While the device is planned to enter the Chinese market soon, global availability has yet to be announced.

Despite its price, the Motorola E-EMI includes an SD-Card slot for storage expansion, providing users with the flexibility to increase their e-book library as needed.

In conclusion, the Motorola E-EMI offers a compelling package for e-reader enthusiasts, with its long battery life, crisp display, and multimedia capabilities. However, its high price and limited access to the Android market may make it less competitive in markets where the new Kindle or the Nook Color are available.
