Nizhny Novgorod is called upon to join a narrative competition focusing on individuals involved in the World War II
The City of Moscow and the non-profit foundation "International Integration Technologies" have joined forces to launch an inspiring project titled "Heroes Are Not Born. Our Days". This initiative aims to bring together Russian citizens of diverse nationalities around significant events related to the ongoing Special Military Operation (SVO).
The project encourages residents, families, classes, and organisations to share their stories and photographs, which should be sent to [email protected]. Stories can be written individually or collectively, and they should be at least 2,000 characters with spaces.
The purpose of the project is threefold: to instill moral values, patriotism, and a conscious understanding of the need to defend the Motherland. The collected stories will serve as a testament to the courage and resilience of the Russian people, particularly those involved in the SVO.
The collections will be presented at a ceremonial awards ceremony, with the sixth collection, "Heroes Are Not Born. For the Motherland!", being presented on October 23, 2025, at the Museum of Victory in Moscow. The jury, consisting of Heroes of Russia, will select the most compelling stories for this collection.
The collected stories will be sent to various institutions, including the Museum of Victory, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Museum of the Defense of Moscow, the Multimedia Museum Complex "Memory Lane" of the Main Cathedral of the Armed Forces of Russia. In addition, the stories will be presented to the authors and sent to Russian fighters in the SVO zone.
This project is not just about honouring the heroes of the SVO, but also about strengthening mental fortitude and cultivating courage in the younger generation through their examples. By sharing these stories, we can inspire future generations to embody the same values and spirit.
To join the project, participants must submit their stories about an SVO participant by October 1, 2025. The author's or collective's name and contact details should be included in the email.
The head of the jury for the project "Heroes Are Not Born. Our Days!" is not specified in the available information. However, with the involvement of Heroes of Russia, we can expect a fair and insightful selection process.
This is a unique opportunity for everyone to contribute to a meaningful project that celebrates the heroes among us and fosters a sense of unity and resilience within the Russian community. So, let's share our stories and honour those who have shown exceptional courage in defending our Motherland.
