North Germany to Showcase Hydrogen Ambition at Hyvolution Paris
North Germany is set to showcase its hydrogen industry prowess at Hyvolution Paris, with the North German Hydrogen Initiative HY-5 leading the charge. The event, held from 1 to 2 February, will highlight the region's ambition to become the central hub of Germany's hydrogen industry.
HY-5 aims to foster a green hydrogen economy along the entire value chain in the north. Experts from each of the five north German federal states will be present to discuss the most significant and largest hydrogen projects in the region.
Hamburg, for instance, plans to construct a hydrogen refueling station in the port, with further hydrogen to be imported at a special terminal to supply various companies with green energy. This is part of Hamburg's broader strategy for a climate-neutral energy supply, which includes the construction of the electrolyzer Green Hydrogen Hub in Hamburg-Moorburg and the development of the hydrogen industry network HH-WIN.
HY-5 seeks to strengthen cooperation in establishing a hydrogen economy in the north and expand international partnerships. At Hyvolution Paris, it will present the most important hydrogen projects in the region, demonstrating North Germany's commitment to leading the way in the global hydrogen industry.
