NVIDIA introduces new Game Ready Driver, featuring global DLSS overrides and additional support within the NVIDIA application.
The tech giant, NVIDIA, has recently released an exciting update for its app and GeForce Game Ready Driver. The new update, available as of August 19th, 9am PT, was developed in-house by NVIDIA.
The update brings a streamlined NVIDIA Surround setup screen, making it easier for users to manage their multi-monitor setups. For those who can't wait, the new NVIDIA app beta update is already available for download. To access it, users need to opt into beta and experimental feature Early Access in Settings > About.
One of the most anticipated features is the introduction of Project G-Assist, now available for all GeForce RTX GPUs with 6GB or more of VRAM, including laptops. This feature is set to revolutionise gaming experiences.
Another significant addition is NVIDIA Smooth Motion, now available for GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs. This feature promises to enhance gaming smoothness and reduce motion blur, providing a more immersive gaming experience.
The update also includes the GeForce Game Ready 581.08 WHQL driver, which can be downloaded through the NVIDIA app or GeForce.com. This driver comes with a full list of fixes for previously reported issues, details of which can be found on GeForce.com.
In addition, the new driver and app update come with DLSS overrides, which can now be activated for every compatible game on a system at once with the global toggle. This feature can be monitored through the Alt+R statistics overlay in-game.
Lastly, to report any technical issues with the new Game Ready drivers, users are encouraged to post detailed reports on the GeForce.com Driver Feedback Forum. The dedicated article for the NVIDIA app update can be found here, and the full list of fixes can be found here.
Stay tuned for a non-beta version of the NVIDIA app update, which will be available the following week.
