Online retail giant, Wildberries, expands business ventures by offering apartments for sale on their platform.
All Hands on Deck: Wildberries Steps Up its Game
Wildberries, the popular Russian online marketplace, is set to take things to the next level. In an exclusive chat with TASS, Tatiana Kim, Wildberries' top cheese, revealed some exciting plans that are about to unfold.
"We're not just standing still," she announced, "We're in deep discussions with two major real estate projects. You guessed it, we're planning to peddle properties, apartments—you name it!"
It's worth mentioning that Wildberries took its first small steps into other territories not too long ago. Last year saw them selling garden houses, baths, and even floating homes. But that was just the beginning. In 2024, they added cars to their inventory.
Fast forward to May 2025, and the platform welcomed products from suppliers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). From electronic novelties to other goodies, the first UAE sellers have already joined forces with the Russia-based giant, and delivery points are as close as your nearest Wildberries pickup point.
Now, don't forget about those pesky customs duties. Starting from February 2025, Wildberries took over the payment of these fees for purchases made on their platform. No more hassling with customs brokers!
It seems like Wildberries is reinventing itself, and the world's watching. Late last year, the company jumped into the B2B market, followed by an insurance service launch, and towards the end of the year, they even unveiled their own cargo transportation solution.
