Opportunity for Contract: Assessing the Worth of Collaborative Endeavors Within UK's UNESCO Heritage Locales

The United Kingdom's National Commission for UNESCO, in collaboration with Creative PEC, is launching a study to gauge the economic and non-economic value of multi-stakeholder partnerships within the nation's UNESCO sites. Proposals, worth up to £40,000, are invited for this research project, scheduled to take place between June 2025 and July 2026. The study forms part of the Local to Global strategic investment programme, backed by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, with funds generated by National Lottery players.

The proposed research aims to quantify the value generated by the multi-stakeholder partnerships of the UK's 61 UNESCO sites, including Biosphere Reserves, Creative Cities, Global Geoparks, and World Heritage Sites. The UKNC and Creative PEC are eager to learn about effective value assessment approaches and are open to novel methodologies.

Proposals must be submitted by 4:00pm on June 6th, 2025 via email to [email protected] and tom.cahill-jones@our website. Interested parties can download the Invitation to Tender Document for more information.

Creative PEC provides independent research and policy recommendations for the UK's creative industries.

To submit a proposal, it should demonstrate eligibility (not exceeding £40,000), detail the research approach, methodology, expected outcomes, and provide examples of past relevant experience that align with the objectives of measuring the value of multi-stakeholder partnerships in UNESCO sites. A detailed plan, methodology, and past experience are essential for the proposal.
