New Head of Press and Communications at the VDDI: Martin Dommer
Martin Dommer has been appointed as the new Head of Press, PR, and Communications at the Verband der Deutschen Internetwirtschaft e.V. (VDDI), the Association of the German Internet Industry.
Dommer brings a wealth of experience in press and communications roles to his new position. Prior to joining the VDDI, he served as a press spokesperson for various organizations, including the Social Affairs Department of the City of Cologne and the German Adult Education Association.
In the City of Cologne, Dommer held multiple positions, including roles in the Office of the Mayor and the Department of Integration and Diversity. He began his career in 2014 in the City of Cologne.
At the VDDI, Dommer takes over from Agnes Plümer, who previously held the position. His responsibilities include crafting the association’s public messaging, engaging with media and stakeholders, and advancing the organization’s visibility and influence within the digital industry.
With a strong background in shaping communication strategies and managing media relations, Dommer is well-suited to lead the press and communications department at the VDDI. His expertise will be instrumental in guiding the association through the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Dommer reports directly to Markus Heibach, the individual who appointed him to the position. Under Heibach's leadership, Dommer is poised to make a significant impact on the VDDI as the new Head of Press and Communications.
