Protolabs Names Marc Kermisch as New Chief Technology & AI Officer

Protolabs, the world's fastest manufacturing service, has appointed Marc Kermisch as its new Chief Technology and AI Officer, effective October 13, 2025. Kermisch brings over 25 years of senior executive experience in technology and R&D organizations across diverse industries. Prior to joining Protolabs, Kermisch served as CTO for Emergent Software, specializing in software development, cloud transformation, AI, and data engineering solutions. Before that, he was Global Chief Digital and Information Officer at Case New Holland, focusing on autonomous vehicles, precision farming applications, and electric powertrains. At Protolabs, Kermisch will lead the global technology organization, succeeding previous CTO Oleg Ryaboy. President and CEO Suresh Krishna thanked Ryaboy for his leadership and expertise during his tenure. In his new role, Kermisch aims to expand Protolabs' digital foundation through innovation in software and AI tools, supporting product developers, engineers, and supply chain teams throughout the manufacturing journey. Marc Kermisch's appointment as Chief Technology and AI Officer at Protolabs is expected to drive innovation and digital transformation within the company.
